Open:
Saturday 10:00–17:00
+ Sunday 10:00–15:30
Description:
Sutton Ecology Centre is a fascinating place to learn about nature and the environment. The site was originally created in 1989, when it was saved from being sold for housing. The grounds are an excellent place for a stroll and to find out about wildlife habitats, alternative energy, composting, organic and wildlife gardening. Our nature reserve contains a wealth of habitats, including a pond, meadow and woodland.
There are also community allotments, sensory and butterfly gardens. We have recently had our wildlife back garden re-vamped by local celebrity Matt James, ‘City Gardener' for his recent Eco Eden series. Come and enjoy the calm of our grounds: you won't believe you are in the middle of a busy town.
