Description:
This Victorian walled garden, built in 1899 for the Duchess of Sutherland, has formal lawns with rose beds, an unusual rockery, flower borders, a vegetable and fruit garden and a high-rise wildlife home.
There are two ponds and a children's area featuring a Teddy Bears' Picnic. Wildlife is encouraged, with bird boxes and feeders. Visitors are welcome to sit and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this secluded garden, which won a Green Pennant award in 2009.
