Description:
Famed as the inspiration for the stage set for the BBC television series Eastenders, this garden has been lovingly restored to its former glory by local residents. The square has retained its original Victorian layout of paths, winding round island beds and lawns, as well as many original lime trees around the perimeter.
Bruno Court, on the north-west corner of Fassett Square, is a Grade-II-listed former hospital building influenced by the Bauhaus school of architecture. It was converted into flats in 1999 and has a roof terrace with a panoramic view of London.
