England's first public art gallery, designed by the neo-classical architect Sir John Soane, located in picturesque Dulwich Village. Opened to the public in 1817, the gallery is surrounded by peaceful, park-like gardens, which are enjoyed by visitors and local residents.
Today the garden features numerous good examples of uncommon trees, including two black mulberry, a dawn redwood and a Judas tree.
