Description:
England's first public art gallery, designed by the neo-classical architect Sir John Soane, located in picturesque Dulwich Village. Opened to the public in 1817, the gallery is surrounded by peaceful, park-like gardens, which are enjoyed by visitors and local residents.

Today the garden features numerous good examples of uncommon trees, including two black mulberry, a dawn redwood and a Judas tree.

You can enter Christ's Chapel of Alleyn's College of God's Gift from Dulwich Picture Gallery's cloister. The chapel was consecrated in 1616 by George Abbot, Archbishop of Canterbury, as part of the Dulwich College Foundation.
