Description:
The gardens are named after the village of Collingham in the West Riding of Yorkshire, the family home of local landowner Captain Robert Gunter in the 19th century.

The Grade II-listed houses, representing the extreme of late Victorian individualism, surround a communal garden laid out in a simple, naturalistic style with wide lawns, curving gravel paths and a variety of shrubs beneath mature plane trees.
