Description:
A 1.2-acre community garden, which opened in 1984 after local residents campaigned against the sale of the land for development.
Today it includes a Walter Segal self-build community building, an under-fives’ area, a wild garden, community composting area and an Astroturf sports pitch.
Recent innovations include a growing space for Bangladeshi women and a growing area for local residents using permaculture techniques.
Activities:
We will be combining Open Garden Squares Weekend with our own annual garden festival, providing a variety of entertainment and activities for all ages.
