Description:
Bushy House is a former royal residence in Teddington, on the site of the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), with lovely views overlooking Bushy Park. The garden is laid out with many magnificent and unusual trees, some of which are 'UK champions'. Also within the grounds are a sweet chestnut some 650 years old and 'Newton's Apple Tree' grown from a cutting taken from a tree at Sir Isaac Newton's house in Woolsthorpe, Lincolnshire. The garden has a lovely orangery, built when Queen Adelaide lived at Bushy House, a gazebo, and a ha-ha to keep the Bushy Park deer from roaming in.
