The Garden

These gardens, which are undergoing careful ecological regeneration, are surrounded by five-storey stucco-fronted houses built in 1858 by Henry de Bruno Austin.

Originally family houses for members of the then-emerging professional classes, the grade II-listed properties are now flats and hotels.

The gardens enclose a tranquil green space in this busy enclave of Bayswater.
