Further details of Twelfth Night
For anyone who's ever been in love or is fed by a love of music
by William Shakespeare, adapted by Kelly Hunter & Tom Chapman
A Flute Theatre production

The show is played with six young actors in the beautiful setting of Bonnington Square gardens, who merge acoustic music with Shakespeare’s verse revealing the pain and ecstasy of falling in love for the first time. Our tale explores love’s madness and our deep human need for music; as the love stories are played out,a seemingly harmless prank goes horribly wrong resulting in a tragic fall from grace.

The Garden

The pleasure garden here was once a bombsite, then a derelict playground, before it was imaginatively re-designed by the Bonnington Square Garden Association, a group of local residents led by Evan English, with backgrounds in film, art, design and horticulture.

Funded by grants and local sponsorship, the garden includes a 9-metre-high Industrial Revolution iron waterwheel, a huge Helping Hand sculpture and evocative, lush sub-tropical planting.

Further planting under the umbrella of the Paradise Project includes trees, groundcover planting, vines and endless street gardens. The pleasure garden is today regarded as one of the finest community gardens in London.
