Our hugely popular cycling tours are led by experienced and friendly members of the London Cycling Campaign and Cyclists in Southwark. Where possible, the rides go through quieter, characterful streets, including Quietways and Cycle Superhighways. Rides on both days are expected to finish at about 5.30pm. You are welcome to leave or join the rides at any point. No need to book – just turn up with your bike.
This year there will be three Open Garden Squares Weekend cycle rides.

The rides are free, but you will need an Open Garden Squares Weekend ticket to visit the gardens. If you have not already bought one, you can buy it on the morning for £20 (Saturday - valid for both days) or £15 (Sunday only).
Cycle Hire is ideal for short journeys between gardens in Zone 1 and parts of Zone 2.
There is now a dense network of cycle hire stations. The nearest one to each garden is shown on its web page.
For further details of Cycle Hire, please consult the Transport for London web site.
We do not recommend Cycle Hire for the group rides. This is because you will be spending time looking for a cycle hire station when you could be visiting gardens.
